2. What this policy covers

This policy covers the website at makinzi.com and the enquiries, quote requests and job applications that reach us through it.

It does not cover the parcels we carry. When Makinzi delivers on behalf of a client — a shop, a bank, a restaurant or a delivery platform — that client decides what happens to the recipient's name, address and phone number, and we handle that information on their instructions under the contract signed with them. If you are a recipient asking why we have your address, the answer is that the business you ordered from gave it to us in order to deliver to you, and your request is best directed to that business. We will still help you if you contact us.

3. What this website collects

Very little, by design. This website is made of static pages. There is no account to create, no database behind it, and no analytics, advertising or tracking service running on it.

• No cookies are set by Makinzi. The site stores exactly two preferences in your browser's local storage: your language choice and whether you prefer the dark or light theme. They stay on your device, we cannot read them, and clearing your browser data removes them.
• No forms are submitted to us. The quote form and the Join Us form do not send anything anywhere on their own. They assemble what you typed into a WhatsApp message or an email that opens on your device, and you decide whether to send it.
• Server logs. Like any website, the hosting provider may record standard technical information such as your IP address, the page requested, the time and your browser type, for security and reliability. We do not use these logs to identify visitors.

4. Information you choose to send us

When you contact us by WhatsApp, phone or email — including through the buttons and forms on this site — we receive whatever you send. For a quote request that is typically your name, your company, your phone number, your email address, the service you need, your monthly order volume and the areas to be covered.

We use it to answer you, prepare a quote and, if we go ahead, to set up and run the service. You are not obliged to give us anything, but we cannot price a delivery service without knowing the volumes and the areas.

5. Job applications

If you apply to join Makinzi, we receive the details you enter in the Join Us form — your name, phone number, email address, the role you want, your driving licence type, your residency status and anything you write in the notes — plus any CV or document you attach to the WhatsApp chat or email that opens.

We use this only to assess your application, contact you and, if you are hired, to complete employment and residency formalities under Kuwaiti labour law. Send a copy of your civil ID or passport only when we ask for it during hiring.

6. Third-party services this website loads

To display properly, the pages load a few resources from other companies. When your browser fetches them, that company can see your IP address and basic browser information, and may set its own cookies inside its own frame. Makinzi receives none of that data.

• Google Fonts — the typefaces used on the pages. See Google's privacy policy.
• Google Maps — the embedded map of our head office on the About section. Google may set cookies within that map frame.
• OpenStreetMap — the map tiles used by the live tracking demonstration on the home page.
• Cloudflare cdnjs — delivers the mapping library the demonstration runs on.
• WhatsApp (Meta) — opens only when you choose the WhatsApp option, and is then governed by WhatsApp's own terms and privacy policy.

• To provide, operate and invoice the delivery services agreed with a client.
• To assess job applications and manage recruitment.
• To keep the records required of a company registered in Kuwait, and to meet requests from competent authorities.
• To keep our operations, our couriers and the goods we carry secure.

We do not use your information for automated decision-making, and we do not build advertising profiles.

8. Who we share it with

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for anyone else's marketing.

• Our couriers and staff, who need the delivery details to do the job.
• Clients and delivery platforms whose orders we carry, as required to confirm and reconcile deliveries.
• Approved sub-contracted carriers during peak seasons, who work under our procedures and confidentiality requirements.
• Service providers such as our hosting, telecommunications and accounting providers.
• Government authorities, regulators or courts, where Kuwaiti law requires it.

9. How long we keep it

• Enquiries and quote requests that do not become contracts: up to 24 months.
• Job applications that are not successful: up to 12 months, in case a suitable role opens.
• Client, delivery, employment and accounting records: for as long as the relationship lasts and afterwards for the period required by Kuwaiti commercial, tax and labour law.

When a period ends, we delete the information or remove the details that identify a person.

10. Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information: access is limited to the people who need it, company devices and accounts are password protected, couriers are screened before they are hired, and the website is served over an encrypted connection.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. If a breach occurs that is likely to harm the people affected, we will act on it and notify those concerned and the competent authority as required by Kuwaiti law.

11. Your rights

Under Kuwait's data privacy protection regulation issued by the Communication and Information Technology Regulatory Authority (CITRA), you may ask us to:

• tell you what personal information we hold about you and why;
• correct information that is wrong or incomplete;
• delete information we no longer have a reason to keep;
• stop using your information for a particular purpose, or withdraw a consent you gave us;
• give you a copy of the information you provided to us.

Write to info@makinzi.com with your request. We reply within 30 days. We may ask for proof of identity first, so that we do not hand someone's information to the wrong person. Where we act on a client's instructions, we will pass your request to that client and tell you we have done so.

12. Children

This website is meant for businesses and for adults seeking work. We do not knowingly collect information about children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

13. Processing outside Kuwait

Some of the providers described above — website hosting, email, WhatsApp, Google Maps and Google Fonts — operate servers outside the State of Kuwait, so information handled through them may be processed abroad. We use established providers that offer recognised safeguards, and we transfer personal information outside Kuwait only where the applicable Kuwaiti rules allow it.

14. Changes to this policy

If our practices change, we will update this page and change the date at the top. Significant changes will be announced on the website. The version published here is the one that applies.
